A MUSICAL TABLEAU IN H-MAJOR

The Linz Philharmonic Orchestra” is an Orchestra with Choir of the Size of approximately 30 – 80 persons, which differs from a usual Orchestra in regards to the fact that the Musicians play their Instruments with purely diletantic or passionate Intention. The Pallet of Ability reaches from absolutely incapable to play an Instrument to very good.
A further Difference exists in the variety of Instruments, a very large Amount of Block Flutes, numerous Melodica and Akkordeon, Harmonica, Shellhorn,etc. appear beside the usual classical Instruments.
Enthusiasm and Passion, as well as a new Sound Image emerging with each Interpretation, constitute the quality of the Performance. the Appearance and the entire Production resemble a classical Orchestra. The Repertoire of the Orchestra consists momentarily of between 10 and 15 pieces, which are mainly classical, but also comprise some Rock-, Pop-, Classic crossover Interpretations.

The Linz Philharmonic Orchestra (Linzer Philharmonie) was founded in the year 2000 by Hannes Langeder.
It first performed on April 18, 2000 at the OK - Center for Contemporary Art in Linz.
Probably, the political circumstances in Austria were a reason for its great success.
